Dean and Joanne Logan anxiously await their adult children who are coming home to celebrate the last Christmas in the family home before the retired couple move to Florida. Dean and Joanne would like to use this final family Christmas to patch things up with their disgruntled children who have many issues with how they have been raised. Just before Christine, the eldest of the three arrives with her Jewish fiancee, Thomas, Dean and Joanne are surprised to find Dean’s father (who has been living with them for the last three years) dead in his bed. Not caring much for the mean patriarch of the family, Dean and Joanne attempt to hide the death from the kids in order to continue their plans of the perfect family holiday.
Hiding the death of Art, would mean hiding the proof (The body) As the children arrive, Dean and Joanne make up excuses as to where Grandpa is while their kids have agenda of their own. Meanwhile, Adam, the middle child is accused of being gay by his parents even though he brings a very scandalous young Katie home with him. Braden, the youngest son, and a successful Broadway actor has always felt ignored by his parents. This is his chance to obtain their attention with some big news he has that will change the family dynamic forever.
When the kids find out that mom and dad have been hiding grandpa’s dead body, they decide to dress as Santa Clause (a costume only worn by grandpa every Christmas) and convince Dean and Joanne that Grandpa is actually alive.
